Ms. Krop’s lifelong passion is social justice and serving the public interest. While in law school, she co-founded Equal Justice Works, the country’s leading organization engaged in organizing, training and supporting public service-minded law students, and the national leader in creating summer and post-graduate public interest jobs.
In 2010, Ms. Krop was a California Trial Attorney of the Year based on her eight years work on an education fraud case, resulting in the second largest settlement in the history of the Federal False Claims Act in a non-intervention case. This award followed over 20 years as a civil rights trial attorney, representing victims of discrimination as lead trial counsel in state and federal courts throughout the San Francisco Bay Area.
As Director of Legislation for the Sixth District PTA (serving Santa Clara, Santa Cruz, San Benito and Monterey counties) 2012-2014, Ms. Krop saw Californians genuinely care about and prioritize public education, but there is a clear disconnect between people and their legislators in Sacramento. She saw critical issues fail to advance because people (1) lacked awareness when critical bills are pending vote in Sacramento, and (2) had no quick and easy way to tell their representatives their views on those bills.
State legislators assured Ms. Krop more voices would make all the difference for CA schools. Determined to help make that difference, Ms. Krop founded Click My Cause in 2016 to empower people to advance their causes through mobile advocacy. Real change will happen when people can simply and quickly advocate effectively for their causes.
Quickly realizing the power of mobile advocacy through near 100% action rates, Click My Cause added more causes to the app.
Ms. Krop has a B.A. in Sociology, with high honors, from U.C. Santa Barbara and a J.D. from U.C. Davis.
